To prepare a workstation for a Groovix installation, please perform the following three steps before choosing from the installation options below.

1. Power on the PC, eject the DVD-ROM tray and insert the DVD labeled “Groovix Public Access Computing Install DVD”

2. Depending on the model of PC, you may need to adjust the bios boot priority settings or press a special key to enter a boot menu where you can boot from DVD. Bios information is usually displayed momentarily immediately after the computer is powered on.

3. If you have successfully booted from DVD you will see a menu like this with a list of options for installing Groovix:

4. Use the up and down arrows on your keyboard to select one of the options, if you do not hit any keys with 60 seconds the computer will begin booting normally from the hard drive.

* [[InstallationStaticIP]] for installing Groovix with an assigned or static IP address

* [[InstallationDHCP]] for installing Groovix without an assigned or static IP address

''If unsure whether a workstation uses a static or dynamic IP address, please contact a system administrator before continuing; Groovix may not be immediately available as a result. ''
