Groovix Demo Disc

The current version of the Groovix Kiosk Demo Disc is available for download at ftp://ftp.open-sense.com/downloads/groovix-demo-1004-b1.iso

The .iso file is a disc image that must be written to a writable CD or DVD. To learn how to create a disc from a .iso image, please see CreatingDiscFromIso

Here are some tips for trying out our Kiosk demo disc:

• Just insert the disc in any computer capable of booting from the DVD drive and reboot.
• If you select the "Groovix PAC Live" option it will not modify your existing files or write any files to the hard drive.
• The demo "Card Number" is demo and the "PIN" is 1234
• The root password is "groovix"
• after you are logged in, pressing ctrl-alt-g brings up an administration menu, use "groovix" for the password
• Running from DVD is very slow to start up and requires more system resources than a normal installation. After programs have been loaded once, subsequent access will be much faster. Our PAC software is available for a variety of installation and boot media options for faster operation.
• This demo is just one basic example of possible Groovix PAC usage. We can customize every aspect of the software for you including the time quotas, reservations, print management, filtering, acceptable use policies, authentication, and remote management. We can customize the settings and software to support additional hardware as well.
