To use a USB flash drive on a Groovix workstation:
- identify the USB port on the workstation
- align the drive so that the gap on its plug matches the post on the USB port
- press the flash drive firmly into the USB port until it feels secure and cannot be pushed any further
if the flash drive resists entering the USB port on the computer, it is likely that the drive is not aligned with the port and needs to be rotated; turn the flash drive 180 degrees andtry again.
Once your card is in the drive correctly, it will show up as a shortcut on the desktop as shown in FIG 1. Double-click your mouse cursor on the shortcut to open up the file browser to access the media on your card as shown in FIG 2.
Reminder: When you are finished using your flash drive, pull the flash drive out of the computer to retrieve your device before leaving. If you prefer to safely disconnect the flash drive first, right-click the mouse cursor over the shortcut of your flash drive on the Groovix Desktop and choose the option, "safely remove"; when the shortcut has disappeared , you may pull the flash drive out of the computer.
